So your starting to plan out your family/outdoor portraits this year huh???
Here is a few of my favorite hot spots in Midland / Odessa, TX.
Midkiff St. Open Field
Right in the middle of town there is the best little open field with tall trees, grass, and lots of green. It’s private and gives you that wonderful green nature look.
Museum of the Southwest
Looking for that really cool old mansion brick and clean beautiful all year round yard look? This is a perfect location for just that. Located in Old Midland close to downtown.
I-20 Wildlife Preserve
This place is outstanding in the fall when the trees start to turn and the leaves fall. With long trails and tall trees this is a perfect place for the nature look. Just have to be mindful about closing times because if you stay 1 minute late you may end up camping there through the night.
Petroleum Museum
Looking for a true West Texas rustic look. This location is perfect for that! With old style oil derricks and a rustic old timey truck with the Midland skyline in the background, no other location comes to here.
Chambers Secret Garden, Odessa, TX
Yea, this is quite a drive for me. At least 45 minutes or so from my home studio. But the drive is really worth it once you get to this location. With a huge pond with lilly pads and toads, tall trees, well kept gardens and unique decor, this place is a huge hit! It is an additional $25 fee to take portraits here by appointment only and can only accommodate a limited number of people.
