Dear Messy Photographer:
It seems to keep happening, and happening with no end in sight so now is time that I make my voice heard along with other frustrated photographers. Please quit leaving cake messes behind on the board walk at the I-20 Wildlife Preserve!
I get it. We do not have many stunningly beautiful places here in Midland to photograph that comes even close to the wildlife preserve. All the trees, nature, water, the boardwalk. It’s all beautiful. Please leave things the way you found them or even better than before. It’s irresponsible and unprofessional to leave messes like this. It’s common sense that the dye from the cake is going to leave a mess that is going to be extremely hard to get up. Next time please use a tarp, blanket, or I even use a small piece of plexiglass and is easy to clean up afterwards.
I’m afraid if this irresponsible behavior continues, they will no longer let photographers come to this location anymore and many people along with myself will be devastated. This goes along with other messes too that we always seem to find like glitter, confetti, balloons, and other trash. It is a wildlife preserve, please treat it as such.
No picture is worth destroying property.
