What a blissfully busy season! So many West Texas newborns to photograph and I’m so honored and blessed to be able to work with every single one of these cuties! Thank you so much for trusting me with your littles and referring me to other mom’s it really means the world to me.
If you would have told me 10 years ago I would be a successful photographer in Midland / Odessa, Texas I would have laughed. Back then I was working for a financial company in downtown Midland, TX and my niche happened to be computers and Information Technology. I have always been computer savvy since I was little so technology sometimes just comes easy to me. I also have always been creative. I grew up with a passion for art so who knew that when I first picked up a DSLR camera that the combinations would clash together so beautifully.
Why did I choose my specialty in newborns?
It started after the birth of my son, Jayden. I have already been doing photography for a little bit by then but was taking every single assignment that could be thrown at me, and honestly in a way it made me a little miserable. I couldn’t find a style I loved and wore myself out doing everything, and then my son was born. When I first looked at him he was so perfect from his ears to his toes and I dreamed dreamed dreamed of having a professional photograph him (that wasn’t me, because I was tired, lol). After much research I choose the perfect pro photograph him and it was one of the best things I have ever done. Looking at his portraits, I swear I almost cried through every single one and now I display them in my home alone side my daughters portraits. I was inspired and wanted to make other mom’s feel this way to, therefore my love for newborn photography grew.
Now going on my 3rd specialized year I’ve spent hundreds of hours and dollars through training, , and tons of heart and soul to make my craft perfect and show the world how I see babies through my eyes. Clean, bright, colorful, pure, perfection.
